Kiva facilitates loans to more than 4,000 borrowers
every week, but since 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans we rely on donations from supporters like you to continue this important work.
If every Kiva lender seeing this banner pitched in $25 for our Donation Drive, we'd hit our goal of $600,000 by Dec 31!
Thanks for your continuing partnership in making the world a fairer place.
Mohammad is a 59-year-old Lebanese married man. He is living with his wife. He’s the one covering their heavy life expenses. Mohammad has been working as a private driver at a local company since the year 2000.
Due to lack of financial resources, Mohammad decided to request a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l in order to rent a car, where he can work in his free time and transport his own customers. This will increase his income and therefore enhance his way of living. In the future, he plans to focus on one job and better develop his business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
