Patiance is a single mother of two children, both of whom are attending school. They live in their own home that has electricity but no running water. Her greatest expenses are school fees and food.
She operates a poultry business from home, which she has been running for the last three years now. The business is their major source of income. She gets orders from hotels, cafes, neighbors and friends. The biggest problem facing the business is threat of epidemics that may cause loss of livestock.
Her business aspiration is to own a big poultry farm. Patiance joined Yehu because of their affordability. She will use the loan to install water at home, both for her business and for domestic use.
