Martha has been farming in Olkalau town for the past five years.She plants cash crops such as maize, beans and potatoes. She is 58 years old, married to George who is also a farmer, and they have two children.
This will be her first loan in the amount of Kenya shillings 10,000 and she plans to use it to buy fertilizer, maize and potato seeds for planting in her farm during this planting season.
In the future, Martha hopes to grow her farming business and plant more cash crops hence make more income and improve the living standards of her family.
