Khov is a resident who has been living in Prey Chor district, Kompong Cham province. She is married to Yim. They have five children, four of whom are already married and live separately and independently around the province. Khov is a local farmer who has been managing farming business for over 30 years. She plants and sells various kinds of crops such as rice, beans, potatoes, maize and vegetables according to each season.
Khov would like to improve her farm so as to earn more from it. She would like to ensure that she has healthier crops but has inadequate funds now to do so. Therefore she is asking for a loan through HKL to pay for operating expenses of planting her bean crops. Some day, with consistent effort, determination and patience, Khov will achieve economic stability.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
