Swalehe is a married man with three children, all enrolled in school. He lives in a rental house that has electricity but no piped water. Food and school fees are his greatest monthly expenses.
He operates a passenger vehicle. He says the high cost of fuel is his major challenge, and he dreams of buying a lorry in the future.
Swalehe joined Yehu to get financial support for his business. With the KES 50,000, he intends to service the vehicle.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
