Ky, 55, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening up animals for more than twenty years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband is a commune consultant who earns about $2 per day. One of her children is a tailor who earns about $10 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Ky is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase beds, tables and other furniture to re-sell. By doing so, she would earn extra income to support the family. She would like to build a new house as soon as possible.
