Sokly is 49 years old. She is a mother of five children and resides with her husband in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling desserts for more than ten years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a construction worker, who earns about $3 per day. Three of her children are employed. They earn about $10 per day. Due to the difficulty with her family’s transportation, Sokly is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable her to use the saved money on her transportation expenses to support her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees.
