Chantha is 31 years old. She is a mother of five children and resides with her husband in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling vegetables for more than five years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about $3 per day. Her children are still in her care and in school. In order to improve her husband’s business, Chantha is requesting a loan of $700 to purchase construction tools for her husband to use in his work. This purchase would enable her husband run his business smoothly. In the future, she would like to run a groceries store to earn extra income to support the family and help her children earn bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to build a new timber house as soon as possible.
