Elisa Luz
Elida is a very hardworking woman. She’s 50 years old but has the spirit of a 20-year-old. Her husband lives by her side; he works in security in their neighborhoods municipality. They have a little 7 year old boy who she loves very much and strives daily alongside her husband to give him a good quality of life and much love.

Her house is located in the city of Ica, a city noted for its year-round hot, welcoming climate. The Huacachina Lagoon is also found there; it’s surrounded by spectacular dunes and is visited by many tourists all year.

When she has free time she enjoys watching television and on occasion to read a book; she also takes advantage of the opportunity to prepare one of her favorite dishes, the very delicious “Escabeche de Pollo.” She only attended secondary school but would have liked to have studied Nursing.

With much enthusiasm Elida works in her store selling soft-drinks, eggs and clothes. She spends about 8 hours daily there and can tend to up to 10 customers per day. She believes that she does well in her business because the customers know her and above all because she treats them kindly and enthusiastically.

Elida is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they’ve given her she will be able to buy more merchandise like rice, sugar, noodles and canned goods, among others as well as to do some home improvements. With this improvement she’ll have a wider variety of goods for her customers and also will improve her quality of life so she can continue striving every day to make her greatest dream a reality: to give her children a good education.

Elida es una mujer muy trabajadora, tiene 50 años pero tiene el espíritu de una joven de 20 años, a su lado vive su esposo el cual trabaja como seguridad en el municipio de su barrio, asimismo juntos tiene un pequeño de 7 años, a quien ama mucho y sobre todo se esfuerza cada día junto a su esposo por darle una buena calidad de vida y mucho amor. Su vivienda se ubica en la ciudad de Ica, ciudad que se caracteriza por su clima cálido y acogedor en cualquier época del años, también en el encontramos a la alguna de Huacachina la cual se encuentra en medio de espectaculares dunas y recibe a muchos turistas en todo el año. Cuando tiene un tiempo libre le gusta ver televisión y en ocasiones leer un libro, también aprovecha la oportunidad para preparar uno de sus platillos favoritos e cual es el riquísimo Escabeche de pollo. Ella solo tuvo estudios secundarios pero le hubiera gustado estudiar Enfermería.

Con mucho entusiasmo Elida trabaja en su negocio de venta de gaseosas, huevos y ropa; ella le dedica a su negocio alrededor de 8 horas diaria y puede atender hasta 10 clientes en el día; ella cree que le va bien en su negocio porque los clientes la conocen y sobre todo los trata de manera amable y entusiasta.

Elida esta my agradecida con los prestatarios Kiva ay que gracias a la ayuda que le han brindado ella podrá comprar más mercadería como arroz, azúcar, fideos, enlatados, entre otros así como también realizar algunas mejoras en su vivienda. Con esta mejora tendrá mayor variedad de productos para sus clientes y también mejorara su calidad de vida, así ella seguirá esforzándose cada día para hacer realidad su más grande sueño:” Darle una buena educación a sus hijos”.
