Irakli is 22 years old. He lives in Lanchkhuti District with his parents and older sister. All the family members are involved in the family agricultural business. They have a dairy farm with six milk cows. Irakli’s mother produces cheese and sells on average 90 kg of this product to local dairy retailers. Irakli also grows potatoes on 0.2 hectare of family-owned land and cucumbers on 0.1 hectare. Irakli sells harvested products at a local market.
Irakli requested a loan to purchase a fence for his plot to protect his cucumbers and potatoes from livestock. A big part of the loan will also be used to purchase fertilizers. He will fertilize the land and work hard during the spring and summer to get a good harvest. In late summer, he will sell harvested vegetables and the profit will be used to finance the family's daily needs.
