Rima is a 33-year-old Lebanese single woman. She lives with her parents and two siblings, one of whom is working. Her father is their main source of income and trying his best to be as helpful as he can. Rima started her own job from her home. She has been working as a beautician since 2009. She has her loyal customers, and she is happy with the results she has attained so far. Today, she’s looking to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase added beauty products for her business. In that way, she will be able to serve her customers with good quality products. In the future, she plans to open her own beauty salon.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
