With 25 years of experience in business, Teresa moved to the greater Boston area from Ecuador in 1999 with a wealth of experience and a passion to start her own business.
When she first arrived in the United States, Teresa knew very little English; however she did not let this hold her back. She started her own daycare business that operated out of her home and began forming a dedicated clientele. Soon she became very well known throughout the area and began to grow her business. She now has the ability to employ three employees to help her operate at a larger capacity.
Her client, Ana, states, “I left my son in Teresa’s care when he was just three months. Every day when I dropped him off, I had a feeling of ease knowing that my son would be nurtured and cared for. I had a deep level of trust for Teresa and her employees that never faltered. My son, who is now four and in pre-school, continues to visit Teresa to receive hugs and exchange smiles.”
Teresa is a repeat Accion borrower and is once again asking for a loan to help maintain continuous cash flow through her business during the slower months of June through August. During this time many of her clients take their children out of daycare to attend summer camps or family vacations. This loan would help Teresa uphold the commitment she has made to her employees.
