Djurabek K. lives in the city of Yavan. He is 41 years old, is married and has 6 children. He has a degree in teaching. He works in a High School in Yavan. His salary is however too small to provide for his family and he is forced to have a business on the side. He is a very optimistic person and supplements his measly salary by raising cattle. The profit from this business provides the necessary additional income that allows him to provide for his family. Currently the prices of animals have gone slightly down and it would be beneficial to his business to purchase calves now. This will allow Djurabek to increase turnover, get more profit from the business and take better care of his family. The business also contributes to the development of cattle raising in the region. This is why the client has come to Kiva for a loan. He plans to repay the loan within a 9 months period.
