Sophanny is 40 years old. She is a mother of two children and resides with her husband in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been working in a garment factory for more than two years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband is a construction foreman who earns about $8 per day. One of her children is a construction worker. He earns about $3 per day. Due to the difficulty of the family’s living conditions, Sophanny is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase a motorbike to commute. This purchase would enable her to use the money saved on her transportation expenses to support her family. In the future, she would like to run a tailoring shop and help her children earn Bachelor’s degrees.
