Amalia Ivoon
This lady is from the town of Larreynaga where she has her eatery and snack bar business that she’s been operating for several years with her mother. She’s married but does not have any children at present. She’s been a Ceprodel client and has benefitted from loans that have had a big impact because she’s used them to improve the conditions of her locale thus offering better service.

The investment she’ll make with the Ceprodel loan received will be to build two toilets and a septic tank in order to have basic services inside the infrastructure for better customer service and better hygiene.

With this goal in mind, she approached Ceprodel to carry out such an important project that would be of high impact asking for a loan to continue building.

In addition, unlike many microfinance institutions in the area that have chosen to avoid the rural areas of the country due to the increased financial risk, CEPRODEL provides financial services to numerous clients in the agriculture and livestock industry. Supporting a borrower through CEPRODEL means contributing to the promotion and sustainability of this important work in Nicaragua.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
