Victor is a married man with 2 children, both of whom attend school. He rents a house located at Likoni on the south coast of Kenya. The house has electricity but no piped water. His greatest monthly expense is food.
For the past 10 years, Victor has been operating a ‘matatu’ business (a 14-seater public service vehicle) with the general public being his major customers. His major business challenge is thieves. He dreams of buying a bus which has a higher carrying capacity compared to a ‘matatu’.
With the Kshs 50,000 he wants to repair the vehicle which has developed mechanical problems. Victor decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve his standard of living.
