Amara, 41, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for many years, earning approximately USD 6 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. One of her children is employed in Korea, and he earns about USD 20 per day.
In order to improve her family’s economy, Amara is requesting a loan of USD 1500 to purchase more groceries for resale. This purchase will her help her expand her grocery store and generate more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to use the profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees.
