Nguwa is a married man with children who attend school. He operates a goat meat business and sells his goods at the market. Price fluctuation is his major challenge. He has been in the business for the last two years. He owns house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Nguwa does farming as his side job, and he describes school fees as his greatest monthly expense. He plans to use the loan of Ksh 50,000 to buy goats for sale.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
