Sunly, 39, is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been selling cake for more than three years, earning approximately 3 USD per day. Two of her children are employed in a rubber plantation. They earn about 8 USD per day.
Sunly wants to run an additional business in order to improve her family’s economy. Due to lack of funds, Sunly is requesting a loan of 1,000 USD to purchase fertilizer and rubber plants to grow. This money will help her acquire the security to start the business. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her youngest child get a bachelor’s degree.
