Tamaz is 52 years old. He lives in Gardabani District, East Georgia with his family: wife, Nana, and 11 year old son, Luka. Luka goes to school.

Tamaz works as an electrician in the village, but the main source of income for the family is still the agricultural business. The family runs a dairy farm with 3 milk cows and 3 calfs. Nana produces cheese and sells, on average, 50 kg of this product at the local open market. The total average monthly income of the family is 600 Laris.

Tamaz has requested credit for purchasing construction materials to expand the cattle-shed. He plans to expand the dairy farm, but the existing shed can’t hold more than 3 milk cows. After expansion of the building, Tamaz will grow and not sell existing calves. In approximately 12 months, the family will already have 6 milk cows. They will be able to double production and sales of cheese and significantly increase the income of the family. It will allow them to improve the living conditions of the family.
