Saroeurn is 63 years old, married and lives with her husband and four children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. For the last 10 years, she has earned a living by selling groceries, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband helps her run her business. One of her children is a garment worker who earns about $3 per day. Saroeurn is requesting a loan for $400 to rebuild her grocery store. This money will help her enlarge her store and make a larger amount of goods available to her customers. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. She also hopes to rebuild her house to make it more comfortable for her family to live in.
