Solomon is 42 years old. He is a farmer from Telavi District, East Georgia. He is married and lives with his wife, Dali, parents (retired) and elder sister. The family earns their living through agriculture. They have a dairy farm with seven milk cows. Solomon and Dali produce cheese and sell it on the local open market. Along with the above-mentioned business, the family owns a vineyard on two hectares of land. He sells grapes to the local wine producers. Solomon has a motorcycle and sells ice cream in the summer season in his and nearby villages. The total average monthly income of the family is 800 Laris, including the pensions of Solomon’s parents.
Solomon requested a loan for purchasing drugs for treating the vineyard for parasites. After properly done seasonal work, he will get a high quality harvest in the fall and sell it for a convenient price. The family will get a profit and they will use it for financing their daily expenses during the year.
