Sokhol, age 50, is widowed and resides with her two children in Prey Veng Province in Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for more than 10 years, earning approximately $15 per day. One of her children is a garment worker who earns about $3 per day.
Sokhol wants to build a new house. With this goal in mind, Sokhol is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase a plot of land on which to build a new house. This money would enable her to build a comfortable house for her family.
In the future, Sokhol would like to help her son get a bachelor’s degree.
