Imad is a 40-year-old man. He’s married and lives with his wife and four children. Because he’s the one responsible for his family, Imad works nonstop to be able to offer them a suitable life. He has owned a scrap shop since 2009. His job consists of buying and reselling used supplies and equipment. Today, he intends to take a loan from Kiva Partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase additional products for his shop. This will boost his sales, thus increasing his profits. In the future, he plans to expand his business and better support his family.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
