En el barrio Umiña de la ciudad de Manta cada 15 días se reúne el Banco Comunal Umiña, ciudad conocido por sus hermosas playas, por su gastronomía y por ser uno de los puertos más importantes del país y de América situado a orillas del Pacifico.

En este lugar vive la señora María José, tiene 22 años de edad y mantiene una relación de unión libre de la cual tiene una niña de 6 meses El marido es comerciante.

Ella estudia Administración de Empresas en una universidad de la localidad, es una joven madre muy trabajadora que siempre le gusto ganarse su propio dinero y con esto solventar sus gastos tanto de estudios y ahora de su hogar, ella se dedica a la venta de de ropa y productos de Avon y Yanbal (productos de belleza, cosméticos, perfumería y accesorios para damas). Trabaja todos los días ya que en ratos sale a recorrer por la localidad y también les vende a sus compañeros y conocidos en la universidad donde estudia, deja sus productos a crédito y cobra cada ocho días. La mercadería la van a comprar con su marido al Perú o le mandan también de los Estados Unidos. Tiene tres años que se dedica a esta actividad y le va muy bien.

Este crédito es para comprar perfumes, cremas, cosméticos y ropa de todo tipo y genero. Este es el cuarto ciclo en el Banco Comunal y le gusta por la ayuda que le brindan los créditos.

Su sueño es terminar sus estudios y ejercer su profesión.
