Neour, 56, is widowed and resides with her four children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling fresh water shells for more than five years, earning approximately USD 6 per day. Two of her children are employed as a construction worker and a motor taxi driver. Approximately, they earn USD 7 per day.
Neour is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to purchase a new motorbike for her son to run his taxi service because his present motorbike is old. This purchase would enable him to attract more customers and earn more income to support the family. In the future, Neour would like to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it more comfortable for her family’s living conditions.
