Tey, 56, is widowed and resides with her son in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling fried bananas for more than 10 years, earning approximately USD 3 per day. Her son is employed in Korea and earns about USD 34 per day.
Tey wants to improve her family’s standard of living. With this goal in mind, she would like to run an additional business to generate extra income to support the family. Therefore, Tey is requesting a loan of USD 1000 to purchase farmland for growing agricultural crops. This money will help her acquire the security to start this new business. In the future, she would like to expand her business and rebuild her present house to make it more comfortable for the family.
