Yuri is 51 years old. He lives in a small village of the Vani District with his family: his wife Nato and two sons (23 and 14 years old). The family earns a living through their agricultural business. They have a milk cow and a calf. Nato produces and sells on average 20 kg of cheese per month. Also they grow melons and maize on 1.5 hectares of family-owned land. Yuri sells the harvest to local retailers. Yuri's son serves in the country's army. The total average monthly income of the family is 950 Laris.
Yuri requested credit for renting a tractor to till their land. Also, a small part of the credit will be used for purchasing melon seeds. Yuri will sow maize and melon on the plot. They will work hard on the plot during spring to get a good harvest in the summer. Yuri will sell harvested products through known distribution channels. He plans to reinvest his profits for further development of the family farm.
