Nhanh, age 30, resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling Khmer noodles for more than two years, earning approximately $2 per day. Her husband is a construction worker who earns about $5 per day. Nhanh wants to run an additional business in order to improve her family’s standard of living.
Due to lack of funds, Nhanh is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase groceries to sell. This will enable her to earn extra income to support the family.
In the future, Nhanh would like to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and more convenient for her family.
