El Progreso Del Bosque Group
Sra. Isabel is a part of the group "El Progreso del Bosque" (The Progress of the Forest), which consists of seven members. All of them are small business people whose only goal is to make progress through hard work. For the past year, Sra. Isabel has been selling gas. She established this business out of her home and her main customers are her neighbors. Isabel started out with a few tanks of gas and over time she has gradually increased her inventory. As a result, her income and her customer base have grown. The loan she is receiving will be invested in the purchase of tanks of gas so that she can increase her stock.

El préstamo recibido lo invertirá en la compra de balones de gas y así aumentar su stock.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
