Pok, 26, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampot Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and fattening up cattle for over ten years, earning approximately 6 USD per day. Her husband helps her run the business.
In order to improve her family’s economy, Pok is requesting a loan of 1,000 USD to purchase cattle to breed in order to resell when they gain weight. By doing so, she would earn more profit to support the family. In the future, she would like to use the profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and more convenient for her family’s living condition.
