Hon, 47, is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been selling groceries for over three years, earning approximately USD 5 per day. Her oldest daughter runs a business of buying cashew nut to resell. She earns about USD 3 per day.
In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Hon is requesting a loan of USD 1500 to raise capital for her business to purchase more groceries to sell. By doing so, she would be able to earn more profit to support her family. In the future, she would like to use the additional profit to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it bigger and more convenient for her family’s living condition.
