Sakou, 33, is married and lives with her mother, her husband and her three children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing agricultural crops and selling groceries for over five years, and earns about $10 US a day. Her husband helps her run her business. Due to a lack of funding, she is requesting a loan for $1,200 US to buy a small tractor to till her farmland. This purchase will help her reduce her expenses. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children get bachelor’s degrees. She also plans to build a new house as soon as possible.
