Nana, 41 years old, lives in Vani District with her husband Sergo and two daughters, 17 and 16 years of age, both of whom attend school. A teacher in the local school, Nana is also actively involved in the family agricultural business.

With a small dairy farm consisting of two milk cows, Nana and Sergo produce and sell on average 40 kg of cheese per month to local dairy product retailers. The family also has a vineyard with 1000 vine-trees, producing wine that Sergo sells in the village. Total average family monthly income is 850 Laris.

Nana is now requesting a loan to purchase vine-tree saplings to plant, and after four-five years the family will start to harvest more grapes. Sergo will be able to produce more wine and thereby increase income from wine-sales. The family will use the increased income to finance the education of their children.
