Mahmoud is a 38-year-old Lebanese married man. He lives with his wife and two school-aged children. He’s the one responsible for his family, that’s why he works under pressure and he’s more than happy to do that.
Mahmoud has owned an aluminum factory for fifteen years. Today, he’s looking to take a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to purchase new aluminum equipment for his work in order to improve his business and attract added customers. In the future, he plans to take bigger projects outside the country.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
