Christine is a married woman who has four children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past eight years, she has operated a retail shop business, selling to her neighbors and passersby. She dreams of expanding to hire more employees in the future.
With the KES 30,000 she wants to purchase shop items of wheat flour, maize flour and rice. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
