Eric is a farmer in Kitale and is aged 32 with 10 years of experience in farming, besides operating a motorcycle transportation business, popularly known in the area as ‘’boda boda.’’ He currently produces onions, vegetables and tomatoes which he sells at the local market.
Eric has requested a loan of 62,400 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to buy and insure a dairy cow. He says this will help him venture into the dairy farming business and help him realize his dream of having three dairy cows of good breeds which is his focus for the near future.
He appreciates Juhudi Kilimo's loan services but points out that drought and animal diseases are challenges that hurt farmers in the area.
