Victoria
Victoria is a woman with lots of ‘punche,’ like we say here in Perú, that is, with much strength and above all, perseverance. She lives with her two children who are adults and who she’s raised by herself since the father of her children separated from her and Victoria had to become both mother and father for them.

Her house is located in the city of Ica, a city noted for having hot weather all year and for being visited by an infinite number of tourists that want to get to know the Huacachina Lagoon. It’s also a city noted for agriculture, especially asparagus and grape growing. When Victoria has any free time she likes to cook and especially to prepare one of her favorite dishes, the very delicious “Arroz con Pollo,” [Chicken with Rice].

Day to day Victoria works at her business selling cosmetics. She works about 6 hours daily and can see up to five customers per day. She also works selling turnovers. She believes that she does well in her business because she’s very kind, charismatic and above all because she’s always grateful to
God Who is with her in good times and in bad.

Victoria is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they’ve given her she will be able to buy more merchandise like cosmetics and beauty products for her business so that she can have more variety of products and thus improve her income which will make it possible for her to continue working and striving toward her great dream: “To have a restaurant.”
