Jhonny Jans
Jhonny is a very hard-working, modest young man. Above all, he is very optimistic. He lives with his parents, whom he lovingly supports, as they are elderly and need a lot of care. Also living with him are his sister, whom he helps a great deal, especially with her education.

Their home is located in Pisco, a city known for its warm and inviting climate. It is also well known because some of the most important tourist attractions in the country are located there: the Ballestas Islands and the Great Candelabra of Paracas.

As a good Peruvian he loves our country's food, and one of his favorite dishes is the very delicious "Arroz Chaufa" (Peruvian-style Chinese Fried Rice). Due to his parent's lack of financial resources, he only went as far as high school, but he would have liked to have studied Civil Engineering.

With much effort, and especially through saving, he managed to start his business selling chicken soup. He works in his business around 12 hours a day, especially in the evenings when he has more customers in his place, as he mostly serves taxi drivers and farmworkers. He can serve around 40 customers a day. He believes that his business is doing well because he has a lot of faith in God, and this is why he has work.

Jhonny is very thankful to the Kiva lenders, as thanks to the support they have provided him, he will be able to purchase a television for his chicken soup place. This will help him to have his customers feel more comfortable, and to increase his clientele. This way he will be able to improve his income, and improve the quality of life for his parents and sister. This way he will keep struggling every day to succeed and to realize his greatest dream: "To have his own house."
