Nargiza is 41 years old. She lives in a small village in the Sighnaghi District with her family: her husband, Zaza, and her 19-year-old son. The family earns its living through an agricultural business. They have a plot of land, where they grow cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and maize. All family members are actively involved in the spring seasonal work on their plot. Nargiza sells the harvested products in the village to green grocery retailers. The family also owns a greenhouse, where they grow cucumber saplings. The family's total average monthly income is 1,000 GEL.
Nargiza has requested a loan to rent a tractor to till the land and to purchase fertilizers and maize for sowing. After the seasonal work is properly done, Nargiza hopes that the weather conditions will be favorable and the family will get a good harvest, which will be sold for a convenient price. The family will then get its planned profit, which will be used to finance its daily expenses.
