Mrs. Den is 36 years old. She is a domestic farmer who resides in Prey Chhor district of Kompong Cham province. She has experience in this work since 1990. She has a life partner in her husband and they have three single children.
To make more income, Mrs. Den wants to buy a second-hand motorcycle for her husband for the purpose of running a motor taxi service so they can increase the profit from this new occupation. Unfortunately, they do not have sufficient cash to make this possible. That is why Mrs. Den has decided to ask for a loan from Kiva partner with HKL to purchase a used motorbike.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
