Hery is a married man who operates a poultry business and sells his products from home. He has three children and all are in school. His wife is a business-woman. His other sources of income include earnings from his wife.
He intends to use the loan of KSH 35,000 to purchase chicks and poultry feed. He has been in the business for six months and his primary customers are his neighbors. He describes his greatest challenge to be seasonality. He aspires to be a supplier of chicken meat in the future. He joined Yehu for their fair policies. Hery owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. His greatest monthly expense is food.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
