Thon is 47 years old and married. She resides with her husband and three children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia. For the past ten years, she has been involved with rice farming and fishing and she earns 5 USD per day. Her husband helps her run the business. Two of Thon's children are employed in a garment factory and earn approximately 5 USD daily.
Thon is requesting a 1,500 USD loan to purchase a walking tractor to use on her farm. Her loan would allow her to complete her work faster. In the future, Thon would like to expand her business and help her children get their bachelors degrees. She also would like to purchase timber to renovate her house.
