The Progreso del Mar Communal Bank meets every 15 days in beautiful San Mateo beach resort in the city of Manta. Manta is known for its beautiful beaches, visited during all seasons of the year by both national and foreign tourists. Here the majority of the people are engaged in fishing and tasks related to the sea.

Sra. Rosa lives here. She is 62 years old, married and has seven children, six already adults and one 13-year-old. Three still live at home and the youngest child attends school. Her husband is a fisherman.

Rosa is a housewife who, in order to have her own income and help her husband with household expenses, sells natural products. She works two or three hours a day, three days a week. She visits clients who buy from her on credit and collects from them every eight days. Her best selling products are for the liver, vitamins and weight loss. She has had this job for three years and it is going well.

This loan is to buy natural products to sell. She has been a member of the Communal Bank for two years and she enjoys it because the payments are easy to handle.

Her dream is to own a pharmacy.

El Banco Comunal Progreso Del Mar se reúne cada 15 días en el hermoso balneario de San Mateo en la ciudad de Manta, conocido por sus hermosas playas que son muy visitadas en toda época del año por turistas nacionales y extranjeros, en este lugar la mayoría de los habitantes se dedica a la pesca y a las faenas del mar.

En este lugar conocimos a la señora Rosa, tiene 62 años de edad, está casada y de esta relación tienen siete hijos, seis de ellos ya mayores de edad y uno de 13 años, tres de ellos aun viven en su casa y el menor estudian en colegio. Su esposo se dedica a la pesca.

Ella es una ama de casa que para obtener sus propios recursos y con esto poder ayudar a su esposo en los gastos del hogar se dedica a la venta de productos naturales, ella trabaja tres días a la semana de dos a tres horas al dia ya que solo visita a sus clientes que siempre le encargan sus productos, deja sus productos a crédito y cobra cada ocho días. Lo que más vende son productos para el hígado, vitaminas y adelgazantes. Tiene tres años que se dedica a esta actividad y le va muy bien.

Este crédito es para comprar productos naturales para la venta. Lleva dos años en el Banco Comunal y le gusta porque los pagos son fáciles de hacer.

Su sueño es tener una farmacia.
