Oeurn is thirty-three years old. He is married and has two children. He is a noble farmer dedicated to rice husbandry, which he grows for both the family’s sustenance and for sale. He usually generates an income of 2.50USD per day. This work is very enjoyable for him because he likes planting.
Oeurn requires an additional amount of money to purchase cattle which he can use for for farm work and also fatten for future sale as well. In the future, Oeurn would like to open a seamstress store for one of his daughters to manage.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
