Rosemarie is from Landing, Baliangao, Misamis Occidental. She is thirty-two years old, married, and has four children. To make a living, she operates a coconut production business. She has been in her business for five years and gets PHP 2,200 a month for these activities.
In 2010, Rosemarie joined GDMPC. Rosemarie is requesting a loan of 5,500 PHP which will be used to pay for the labor cost of farm maintenance. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the family's income.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
