Emilda is a married woman who has three children. Emilda is 47 years old and resides at Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental, Philippines.
Emilda own and operates farmland, planting and harvesting durian (a fruit) for sale to earn a living. She's been in this business for three years. Each month, she earns 7,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) doing this type of business.
She requested a loan of 10,000 PHP to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. Earlier this year, Emilda joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her business and living situation. In the future, Emilda wants to make improvements of her house and to improve the general living conditions of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
