Born around 1986 in Kadiana, Lassina lives with his 5 children and their mother in a traditional family environment, in Fakola. Not having had the opportunity to pursue his studies, Lassina quickly became interested in revenue-generating activities, most notably fixing bicycles and motorbikes, and selling bike spare parts. He is held in high regard and much sought-out in Fakola and the surrounding area.

With 3 years experience in his job and searching for additional financial resources, Lassina decided to work with Soro Yiriwaso, and is on his first loan with the institution. He plans to use the money to buy 2 large boxes of assorted spare parts for motorbikes from the wholesalers in Bamako. He makes his sales, for cash or credit, at the market in Fakola to a customer base composed of men and women. Lassina hopes to make a monthly profit of 200 000 francs, with which he will take care of his family's needs, repay the loan, and reinvest in his business.
