Maya is 38 years old. She lives in a small village of Terjola District with her family: her husband – Grigol, three children (13, 17 and 19 years old) and her father-in-law (retired). The younger children go to school and the elder one is a student. Grigol works in a local company as an operator. Maya heads up the agricultural business of the family: they have a milk cow. Maya produces cheese and sells it in the village. Also the family owns a vineyard with 1200 grapevines. Maya and Grigol produce wine and sell it in the village. Along with the above-mentioned, the family has 80 nut trees. They sell nuts on the local market. The total average monthly income of the family is 450 Laris.
Maya requested credit for purchasing a milk cow. With two milk cows Maya will be able to produce and sell double the amount of cheese. The monthly income of the family will increase by at least 200 Laris. Maya will use increased income for financing the education of her children.
