Lamara is 62 years old. She lives in a village of Zestaponi District with her husband – Gurti. Lamara and Gurti are retired. They earn a living through the family agricultural business. In particular, they have a small dairy farm with three milk cows and five calves. Lamara produces cheese and sells it on the local open market. Also Gurti is a worker in the village. Total average monthly income of the family is 500 Laris.
Lamara requested credit for purchasing construction materials for construction of a new, bigger cattle-shed. Their existing cattle-shed doesn't have room for more than three milk cows. The new cattle-shed will allow Lamara not to sell off calves but raise them. As a result of the above-mentioned, in the future the family will have more milk cows and thus get more milk for cheese production. The income of the family will increase and they will be able to purchase additional goods for their household, to improve their living conditions.
